Dr. Daniel True, DMD

Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon

Dr. Daniel True currently serves as Chief of Oral Surgery at Langley Air Force Base and associate professor with the Uniform Services University of Health Sciences, instructing dental residents in oral surgery and sedation.

Dr. True grew up in Salt Lake City Utah and attended college at the University of Utah where he earned his bachelor’s degree in biology. He then received his dental degree (DMD) from Temple University in Philadelphia. Following dental school, he completed a one-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency in Anchorage, Alaska after which he practiced general dentistry for three years with the Air Force in Alaska and Texas.

Residency

In 2014 Dr. True commenced his 4-year surgical training at the San Antonio Military Oral and Maxillofacial Residency Program. His training involved dentoalveolar and cosmetic surgery, pathology, reconstruction, trauma and TMJ procedures.

This training, alongside professionals including licensed anesthesiologists, gave him the skills necessary to perform a full scope of oral and maxillofacial procedures.

Certifications

Dr. True is currently board eligible and in the process of challenging the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, which requires him to maintain an elite level of lifelong learning standards and stay up-to-date on the latest surgical techniques and safety practices.

Interests

In his spare time, Dr. True enjoys spending time with his wife and six beautiful children— four daughters and two sons. They are kept extremely busy with their children’s various activities, and are always looking for new adventures. Dr. True likes to enjoy nature in any way he can.  Whether it’s playing sports, family outings or snowboarding he loves to get outdoors!
